Where it started
Built for collecting
I started PlayerLots because I wanted my two kids to fall in love with collecting cards — not learn how to gamble.
Breaks are loud and built on chance. You pay for a slot, watch a stream, and hope the right cards land. eBay has thirty million listings, bid wars, and sellers who pull listings mid-auction. Neither felt right for the kind of collecting I wanted to share with my kids.
I wanted a place where a $20 lot of inserts and parallels could feel like a real find. Where the cards in the photo are the cards in the envelope. Where the price is the price — no counter-offers, no last-second snipers, no mystery shipping cost at checkout.
So I built PlayerLots. Fixed prices. Every card photographed. Standardized shipping. Sellers keep 91–92% of the sale. Baseball only during beta, so we can keep the focus tight.
