What is PlayerLots?

PlayerLots is a fixed-price baseball card marketplace built around structured player lots. Each lot contains 3, 4, or 5 cards of the same player. There are no auctions, no negotiation, and no single-card listings.

How does pricing work?

Prices are fixed within 19 system-defined tiers ranging from $10 to $100. Sellers choose a lot size and a price tier. They do not set custom prices. The listed price is the price you pay.

Why are prices fixed instead of auctions?

Fixed pricing reduces uncertainty and comparison fatigue. You do not need to monitor bidding, time endings, or negotiate offers. You evaluate the cards and decide if the price works for you. The goal is predictability, not price discovery.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is distance-based, calculated from buyer ZIP to seller ZIP. Costs range from $4 to $6. Every order ships BMWT with tracking. You receive a tracking number once shipped.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Buyers pay the fixed lot price plus distance-based shipping. There are no buyer premiums or surprise charges at checkout.

What is a claim?

When you click "Claim," the lot is reserved for 48 hours while you complete payment. If payment is not completed within that window, the lot returns to availability. Repeated claim abuse may result in account restrictions.

Can I return a lot?

Returns are available for objective issues only: incorrect items, lots that do not match the listing, or damage during transit. Changing your mind or subjective dissatisfaction is not grounds for a return.

What protections exist for buyers?

Exact card photos are required on every listing. Tracked shipping is required on every order. Messaging is recorded on-platform. Sellers are rated after delivery. These systems are designed to reduce ambiguity and protect both sides.

When do sellers get paid?

After payment is completed, the seller ships and uploads valid tracking. Payout is released via Stripe after delivery confirmation, minus the platform fee and a distance-based shipping contribution.

Can buyers and sellers message each other?

Yes. Messaging is available for questions about a specific lot. Conversations are recorded within the platform for safety and support.

Why are only lots allowed, not single cards?

PlayerLots is intentionally structured. Lots reduce listing overhead, simplify fulfillment, make pricing more comparable, and allow buyers to acquire multiple cards of a player at once. Single-card listings are not supported.

How is seller reputation tracked?

Buyers leave ratings after delivery confirmation. Ratings appear on seller profiles and listings to help buyers shop confidently.

Is PlayerLots like break platforms?

No. Break platforms involve randomized outcomes and entertainment-driven selling. PlayerLots shows the exact cards included in every lot before you claim. There is no randomness.

What sports are supported?

Currently, PlayerLots supports baseball only. Other sports may be considered in the future, but there is no announced timeline.

Is PlayerLots an alternative to auction marketplaces?

Yes. PlayerLots is designed as a fixed-price alternative to auction-style sports card marketplaces. It removes bidding, negotiation, and urgency mechanics in favor of structure and predictability.
