Why sell here

Built for consistency, not price optimization

PlayerLots isn't built for maximum price optimization. It's built for consistency and repeatability.

Selling singles means writing unique listings, timing auctions, managing negotiation threads, and constantly repricing against a shifting market. That's a part-time job dressed up as a hobby.

Lots remove the variability. Bundle cards around one player, pick a fixed tier, and let the system handle the rest. Fewer decisions, fewer surprises, same transaction flow every time.

The sequence

From draft to payout, step by step

Six steps, in order. Every listing follows the same path - no side quests, no surprises. Most sellers move from draft to published in under five minutes.

  1. 01

Choose lot size and price tier

Pick a player, group three to five of their cards, and select one of the fixed price tiers. Your estimated payout is calculated before you publish - no research, no comps, no guessing.

  2. 02

    Upload clear photos

Show every card in the lot. Clarity matters more than staging - buyers want to see exactly what they are claiming.

  3. 03

    Publish the listing

Your lot appears in the marketplace immediately. Edit or pull it down at any time before it sells.

  4. 04

    A buyer claims and pays

Claims are a single tap. Once checkout completes, you receive confirmation and a pre-paid shipping label (BMWT lots) or instructions (PWE lots).

  5. 05

    Ship within the window

Drop the package in the mail within the standard shipping deadline. The platform provides the label - you never pay shipping out of pocket.

  6. 06

    Payout lands on delivery

Funds release automatically via Stripe once delivery is confirmed, minus the platform fee and any shipping contribution. Predictable, to the dollar.

Payout anatomy

How Your Payout Is Built

Your payout is the lot price minus two clearly-defined deductions: a percentage-based platform fee and, for BMWT lots, a flat $1 shipping contribution on every zone. Both are calculated before you list.

  • Platform fee: 9% standard, 8% premium
  • PWE lots: no seller shipping contribution
  • BMWT contribution: flat $1 on every zone
  • Paid on delivery confirmation via Stripe

Seller questions

The Questions Sellers Ask First

Why sell lots instead of single cards?

Bundled player lots reduce listing overhead and simplify fulfillment. Buyers claim multiple cards at once, and you move inventory in structured groups instead of writing unique listings card by card.

How are prices set?

You choose from 20 system-defined tiers ranging from $5 to $100. The pricing structure keeps listings comparable across sellers and removes the need to chase comps.

What lot sizes are allowed?

Lots must contain 3, 4, or 5 sports cards featuring the same player. Every card in the lot must be photographed.

How does shipping work?

Lots under $20 ship PWE - buyer pays $2 flat, no seller deduction. Lots $20+ ship BMWT with USPS tracking; the buyer pays the actual shipping cost at checkout (rounded up to the nearest 50¢, typically $5.5-$6 by distance) and a flat $1 seller contribution is deducted from your payout. Delivery confirmation triggers payout release.

What are the platform fees?

Platform fee is 8% flat for Founding Members or 9% flat at launch - applied to lot price only, regardless of the lot's price. A shipping contribution is also deducted on BMWT lots. Both are calculated automatically and shown before you publish.
