For sellers

Keep more of every sale

The 8% fee is all-inclusive - Stripe processing absorbed. On BMWT lots you contribute a flat $1 toward the tracked label - the same on every order, regardless of distance. That is the entire deduction.

  • 8% all-in on every lot - payment processing included
  • $0.50 minimum only applies to $5 lots
  • Launch rate will be 9% - founding sellers stay locked at 8%
  • No contract, no cancellation fee, no minimum commitment

Shipping, split fairly

Two methods, one clear split

Lots under $20 ship PWE - a stamp and an envelope. Lots $20 and above ship BMWT, a tracked bubble mailer: the buyer pays the actual shipping cost for the distance (rounded up to the nearest 50¢), you add a flat $1, and the platform prints the label.

PWE · Plain White Envelope

Lots $5, $10, and $15

Buyers are charged an extra $2 at checkout. That $2 passes directly to you in your payout to cover PWE postage (actual stamp is roughly $0.73 - $1.00, you keep the difference). The platform does not purchase a label for PWE lots.

Four tabs - PWE for lots under $20, and the three BMWT distance bands for the rest. Your 8% fee and flat $1 shipping contribution are the same across every BMWT band - only the buyer's actual shipping cost changes with distance.

Bubble mailer with USPS tracking. The buyer pays the actual USPS cost for the distance - rounded up to the nearest 50¢ ($5.50 in this band) - and you add a flat $1. Those combined funds buy a real Shippo label; the platform generates it, you print it, pack the cards, and ship.

Each platform calculates fees on a different base - eBay on the total sale including buyer-paid shipping and sales tax, Whatnot commission on item only but processing on total, PlayerLots on lot price only. The most honest framing is total dollars deducted from the seller per transaction. eBay figures verified July 3, 2026 against eBay's published selling fees.

Questions we hear most

The things sellers actually ask

Direct answers, no hedging. If your question is not here, message us and we will add it.

What does PlayerLots actually charge?

8% of your lot price. That's it for the platform fee. It includes payment processing - there is no separate Stripe or credit card charge. Your only other deduction is a flat $1 shipping contribution on BMWT lots - the same on every order, regardless of distance.

What's included in the 8%?

Platform commission and payment processing (Stripe). We absorb the processing cost so you see one clean fee. No separate line items for credit card processing, transaction fees, or payment handling.

Is the 8% calculated on the lot price or the total including shipping?

Lot price only. If you list a $25 lot and the buyer pays $30.50 total ($25 + $5.50 Standard shipping), our fee is $2.00 (8% of $25), not 8% of the total. Your flat $1 shipping contribution is a separate line.

What's the $0.50 minimum fee?

On a $5 lot, our 8% fee would be $0.40. The $0.50 minimum brings it to $0.50 on $5 lots only. Any lot where the natural 8% exceeds $0.50 pays the percentage with no minimum adjustment.

How long does the founding seller rate last?

Your 8% rate is locked for 12 months from the date you join as a founding seller. After 12 months, your rate moves to our published launch rate. We will never raise your rate during that 12-month period.

What's the launch rate going to be?

9% flat on lot price. Still all-inclusive of payment processing. Still meaningfully lower than eBay (13.25% of the total sale plus a per-order fee) and comparable to Whatnot (8% + ~3% processing) without requiring live streams.

Are there any other fees?

No insertion fees, no listing fees, no relisting fees, no promoted listing fees, no subscription fees, no withdrawal fees, no account fees. You pay the 8% platform fee on each sale and your shipping contribution. Nothing else.

Who pays for shipping?

Both buyer and seller contribute. For lots $20+, the buyer pays the actual shipping cost at checkout, rounded up to the nearest 50¢ ($5.50 / $5.50 / $6 by zone), the seller contributes a flat $1 from their payout, and the platform uses those combined funds to buy a tracked BMWT label through Shippo. For lots under $20, the buyer pays an additional $2 that passes directly to the seller to cover PWE postage.

When do I get paid?

Seller payouts are released after the carrier confirms delivery. Funds go directly to your connected Stripe account on your normal Stripe payout schedule.

Do I have to ship through PlayerLots?

For BMWT lots ($20+), yes. The platform generates the shipping label and sends it to you. This ensures every package is tracked consistently and protects both buyer and seller. For PWE lots (under $20), you buy your own stamp and mail it yourself.

Is there a minimum or maximum I can list?

Lot prices go from $5 to $100 in $5 increments. You can list as many lots as you want. Your 8% founding rate applies to every sale during your 12-month lock period.

Can I still sell on eBay while using PlayerLots?

Yes. There is no exclusivity requirement. Most of our sellers cross-list and treat PlayerLots as an additional channel. We are not asking you to leave anywhere you are already selling.

What if I want to leave after the founding period?

You can stop listing at any time. There is no contract, no cancellation fee, and no minimum commitment. If the 9% launch rate does not work for you after your founding period ends, no hard feelings.

How do I know the 8% rate is actually locked?

When you sign up as a founding seller, your account is tagged with an 8% rate and an expiration date 12 months out. That rate is stored in your account settings and visible in your seller dashboard. It cannot change during that period.

Why is your fee lower than eBay?

We are a smaller, focused marketplace. We do not run TV ads, we do not maintain a vault, and we do not support 50 product categories. We do one thing - fixed-price baseball card player lots - and we keep our overhead low enough to charge 8% all-in. If that changes as we grow, we will adjust the launch rate, but founding sellers keep their locked rate.
